ISA 49th ANNUAL CONVENTION

BRIDGING MULTIPLE DIVIDES

Welcome to the website for the 2008 ISA Annual Convention in San Francisco and thank you for your commitment to serve as a participant during the convention. The convention theme is: Bridging Multiple Divides. This page will serve as a resource for information about your role as a program participant and will provide critical information about the upcoming meeting. Be sure to visit this site often in the months and weeks prior to the convention as additional information will be added. 

Here is the latest convention news:

  • Proposal Forms: The submission period has now ended. Thank you for submitting your paper and panel proposals. Acceptance letters will be sent out via e-mail starting September 28th. 

  • Child Care Services: ISA is pleased to offer child care at the 2008 Annual Convention. Kiddie Corp, a nationally recognized provider of onsite child care programs, is our official contractor. Program services are available only to ISA members, on a first-come, first-served basis. Non-members who wish to participate in the child care program must first join ISA before submitting a registration request to Kiddie Corp. Enrollment for the Kiddie Corp program will open on October 1. More info....

  • Important Dates & Deadlines

  • Hotel Reservations: The Hilton San Francisco has reserved block of rooms for March 25-29, 2008. Guests wishing to arrive early may do so starting March 22nd and depart as late as April 1st, based on availability. To start booking a reservation from the Hilton site click here

  • Audio Visual Equipment - Order Form (Excel)

    Overhead projectors and screens are provided in all panel rooms. Panelists and presenters who wish to rent LCD projectors or other A/V equipment must do so at their own expense.

    Presentation Services Audio Visual Services (PS-AV) is the official audio visual contractor for the ISA Convention. PS-AV is offering a
    45% discount on all hardware products to convention attendees. If additional labor is required, an estimate will be provided by PS-AV. Panelists and presenters must request the ISA discount when ordering services. Contact information and a downloadable order form is available here (Excel).

    Note to Workshop Chairs, Meeting Organizers, and Reception Organizers: Contact Jeanne White, ISA Director of Conventions & Meetings, to make audio-visual arrangements for your workshop, business meeting, or other non-panel event. PS-AV costs can be consolidated into the invoice for your function. E-mail Jeanne White at Jeanne@u.arizona.edu for details.
