Assistant Professor, Middle East Politics
The Department of Political Science at the University of Kansas invites applications for a tenure-track, Assistant Professor position in Middle East Politics to begin as early as August 18, 2010. Candidates are expected to conduct theoretically relevant research, and to have appropriate research and methodological skills. The University is designated a Title VI National Resource Center in African Studies.
The teaching load is two courses per semester. Salary is competitive with those at other research universities. The successful candidate for the position must be eligible to work in the U.S. prior to the start date of the appointment. Applicants are expected to have a Ph.D., ABD, or terminal degree in political science or a related discipline by the start date of appointment.
