Assistant
Professor, Comparative Politics and/or International Relations
Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania announces a search for a position
in the Department of Political Science at the Assistant Professor rank
(AA#44-6-207) to teach Comparative Politics and/or International Relations
courses as determined by the department chair. The successful
candidate will also be required to teach introductory courses, such as
American Government or Introduction to Politics. The course load is
4 courses per semester with a maximum of 3 preparations per semester.
This is a nine-month tenure track position beginning Spring 2008.
Finalists for the position must communicate well and successfully complete
an interview process and teaching demonstration. The successful candidate
must demonstrate the ability to work with diverse populations. Qualifications:
Ph.D. in Political Science preferred; A.B.D. in Political Science will be
considered with contingency contract. Recommendation for hiring will
be based on the majority vote of regular full-time faculty in the
department.
