Cooperating Organizations Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) What are ISA Cooperating Organizations? ISA maintains relationships with other international studies organizations all over the world. Cooperating Organizations are a network of international studies groups accredited by ISA to promote communication and help develop contacts among specialists and practitioners in order to facilitate scientific and cultural exchange. ISA seeks to provide channels of communication between academics and policy-makers to promote a successful link between the production of knowledge and its utilization. What are the benefits of Cooperating Organization Status? Cooperating organizations are invited to participate in ISA's activities, including the annual convention (where they are entitled to a quota of panels), and various international conferences and joint workshops. Other benefits of cooperating status include reciprocity in web site promotion, publicity and announcements, and shared Internet resources, including the private ISA listserv and web log.
