As the Association launches its programmatic efforts in Career Development and Placement, its new standing Committee on Professional Development will be developing strategies, guidelines for policies and practices and, in general, considering the best way to serve the membership in this critical area. The Professional Development Committee of ISA gives voice to the interests and needs of graduate students and junior faculty in ISA. The committee's goals include promoting the professionalization of young scholars, encouraging their active participation in ISA, and helping young scholars develop their careers.
