CEEISA/ISA CONVENTION

GENERAL INFORMATION

2003 CEEISA-ISA BUDAPEST CONVENTION

Opening Session: 1000 - 1200, Thursday, 26 June, Hungarian Academy of Sciences

Panels & Roundtables: All panel and roundtables will meet at the Central European University campus, nador u. 9, 1051 Budapest, Hungary; Tel: (36) 1 327 3000; Fax: (36) 1 327 3007.

Travel From Airport: For those of you flying into Budapest, you are advised to take one of the shuttle buses that go to the hotels. These are relatively inexpensive and will get you there quickly. Traffic in Budapest is not easy, and while you can take a taxi instead, it will be substantially more expensive than the shuttle bus. We have found a great map of the area highlighting the location of our conference hotels. All of the hotels are on the Pest side and close to each other. Click here for the hotel map

About Budapest: Weather in Budapest in late June is likely to be warm and sunny and humid, although we advise that you bring an umbrella just in case. Unless you are a native speaker, you are not likely to speak much Hungarian, and most Hungarians you will contact will speak some or much English, along with German, French, Italian, and Russian. The official language at CEU is English. Nevertheless, if you can learn a few words (Hello good-bye, yes, no, thank you, etc.), it is always appreciated. The good and entertainment are exceptional and relatively inexpensive for Europe.

Registration Times and Locations: The registration desk for the convention is at CEU and will be open at the following times:

Thursday, June 26 0800-0930
Thursday, June 26 1230-1400
Friday, June 27 0830-1300
Saturday, June 28 0830-1000
